Role overview

We are hiring a Service Team Associate to help create a welcoming atmosphere for guests and deliver dependable service in a fast-moving restaurant setting. This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, collaborating with teammates, and learning on the job. Prior experience is not required because training will be provided. The position also offers a chance to build transferable skills and contribute to community initiatives through Panda Cares.

What you will do

  • Greet guests and support a positive dining experience.
  • Serve food and process guest payments at the register.
  • Keep the restaurant clean and presentable.
  • Follow operational standards and safety practices to serve fresh, high-quality food.
  • Work efficiently in a busy kitchen and may be assigned to the front counter, drive-through, or kitchen.

Qualifications

We are looking for friendly, helpful team members. Restaurant operations experience is an advantage but not mandatory. A certain amount of high school education is expected. Depending on local rules, a food handler certificate may be required, and any related cost would be the applicant’s responsibility.

Work conditions and physical demands

The role involves working around heat, steam, and food vapors. The workspace can be tight, and long periods of standing are expected. Team members must prepare both hot and cold menu items, use a Chinese cook knife and other kitchen tools, and work quickly while maintaining accuracy. The job may require lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for up to four hours, and reaching across 36-inch counter surfaces to serve customers. Kitchens are typically hot and noisy, storage is limited, and shelving may be high. Success in this role requires clear verbal communication, flexibility in a changing environment, and the ability to handle conflicts and difficult situations professionally.
