About the role

Qualifications
- Some high school education.
- Some prior operations experience is preferred.
Food safety requirements
Local or municipal food safety requirements, such as a Food Handler certification, must be obtained at the applicant’s own cost.
Work environment and physical demands
The role involves working in hot counter areas with steam and food vapors, in a restricted workspace, and standing for extended periods. You’ll need to prepare both hot and cold items, use a Chinese cook knife and other kitchen tools, and work quickly while maintaining accuracy. The job also requires lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for up to four hours, and reaching across 36-inch counters to serve guests. Kitchens can be hot and noisy, storage is limited, shelving is high, and the pace can change quickly. Strong verbal communication, flexibility in shifting priorities, and the ability to handle conflict or difficult situations are important.
