Customer Service Officer

Role overview

An established global equipment and services provider, working through a recruitment partner, is expanding its Welshpool team and is seeking a skilled Customer Service Officer. This position supports continued business growth and sits within a team handling customer service, pricing, order administration, and coordination across internal departments.

Key duties

• Work closely with sales, production, and engineering teams to support quoting, pricing, and product delivery activities.
• Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers.
• Prepare pricing calculations and produce quotations for parts and services.
• Enter and manage customer and supplier purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Use customer portals to locate and retrieve customer orders.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints promptly, professionally, and with care.
• Create quotes and pricing for parts using software tools and stock control spreadsheets.
• Manage intercompany orders.
• Keep records accurate and up to date.

About the ideal candidate

The employer is looking for someone with prior sales experience, ideally from an industrial environment. Mechanical awareness or aptitude is highly valued, and experience with radiators or similar products would be an advantage. The role also requires commercial judgment, strong computer skills, familiarity with ERP platforms such as Epicor, and an understanding of technical and mechanical information, including blueprint reading.

You should also be comfortable preparing reports, spreadsheets, and documentation, and bring strong organisational ability, clear communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to resolving problems.
