Role Purpose
The primary responsibility of the Final Quality Inspector (FQC) is to ensure that all repaired aircraft components comply with global civil aviation safety and quality regulations. This position requires signatory authority to issue Authorized Release Certificates (ARC) under CAAS, FAA, EASA, and other recognized aviation authorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of aircraft components post-repair and issue ARCs accordingly.
- Review repair documentation and routing sheets for completeness and accuracy.
- Execute assigned quality inspection tasks to maintain high safety standards.
- Perform ARC releases for C1, C7, C17 ratings and additional C ratings based on qualifications.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least two years of experience in aviation maintenance.
- Educational qualifications include GCE O Level, NTC 2/3 with English proficiency, or Technical Diploma.
- Fluency in English for reading, writing, and communication.
- Certification eligibility as a signatory staff for CAAS, FAA, EASA, or other regulatory bodies.
- Prior experience with aircraft component ratings is advantageous.
- Mandatory CAAS M9/M10 and EASA M9/M10 certifications or completion of a CAAS-approved certifying staff course.
- Current qualification as CAAS certifying staff or equivalent C rating certificates (M2-B1, M8-B1, M6-B1, M7-B1, M15-B1, M11A-B1).
- Candidates holding aerospace engineering degrees from local polytechnic/university within the past five years may be exempt from certain certification requirements.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willlingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Solid understanding of 5S workplace organization concepts.
- Ability to interpret complex technical documents.
- Basic computer proficiency is required; familiarity with SAP software is preferred.
