Position Overview

We are seeking a Journeyman Plumber based in Calgary, Alberta, for a full-time, field-based role. This position involves traveling daily to commercial and foodservice sites, performing expert drain cleaning and plumbing system maintenance. This role demands advanced hands-on skills for diagnosing and fixing complex drain and pipe blockages efficiently in often confined spaces and active restaurant environments, frequently outside regular hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, and repair commercial plumbing systems focusing heavily on clearing drains and blockages.
• Conduct drain cleaning and jetting along with servicing water filtration and plumbing fixtures.
• Execute service calls and regular preventative maintenance visits.
• Provide repair recommendations and maintain clear communication with team members.
• Ensure job sites are clean, safe, and compliant with food safety during and after work.
• Complete detailed digital service reports and timesheets accurately.
• Comply with all safety standards, building codes, and company policies.
• Travel between different sites daily using a company vehicle.
• Occasionally address after-hours or weekend service requests as needed.

Candidate Requirements

• Certification as a Journeyman Plumber (mandatory).
• Possession of a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Proficiency with mobile applications, work orders, and digital tools.
• 3 to 5+ years of experience in a service-oriented plumbing role.
• Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing commercial plumbing, water filtration, and drainage systems, including blockage removals.
• Ability to work autonomously with limited oversight.
• Strong focus on safety, cleanliness, and meticulous attention to detail.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical capability to lift between 50 and 100 pounds and operate in challenging environments.
• Backflow Certification (required); Gas Fitter Certification is advantageous but not required.
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada (no sponsorships provided).
• Clean criminal background check.
