Role Overview

Join Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health, as a Service Manager based in Waterford City. This full-time permanent role invites a committed leader to co-manage with the Clinical Manager, ensuring safe, effective, and impactful delivery of youth mental health services and programs. This position plays a essential role in shaping community mental health initiatives for young people.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategically plan and implement clinical services, youth mental health promotion, and youth participation activities aligned with local and national goals.
  • Provide shared leadership alongside the Clinical Manager, fostering a cohesive and compassionate service culture.
  • Oversee daily operations including managing the local budget, coordinating referrals, scheduling appointments, analyzing data, evaluating performance, and ensuring compliance with risk and policy standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with external stakeholders to promote the service, maintain smooth referral pathways, and ensure service integration.
  • Lead youth-focused initiatives including overseeing the Youth Advocate Programme and managing community programs to increase mental health awareness and engagement.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of three years managerial experience in health, social care, education, or non-profit sectors.
  • Hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, health (including mental health), community development, education or social sciences, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Documented success in managing teams within human service delivery settings.
  • Experience in budgeting, financial management, and operational planning for small local budgets.
  • Excellent interpersonal, emotional intelligence, and collaborative skills.
  • Possession of a clean driving license and availability for occasional evening or weekend work.
