Strathmore Ford in Strathmore, Alberta is hiring a Service Detailer to join a family-owned automotive group built around the Kaizen principle of continuous improvement. Role Summary

The Service Detailer will be responsible for cleaning, detailing, and preparing customer and service vehicles so they meet OEM and dealership presentation standards. The position plays an important part in ensuring vehicles are returned to customers in excellent condition after maintenance or repairs, while also helping the Service Department deliver a high-quality experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean vehicle interiors and exteriors, including washing, vacuuming, wiping surfaces, cleaning glass, and clearing out debris.
  • Carry out detailing work such as polishing, waxing, shampooing carpets, and using the right products and tools for the job.
  • Check vehicles before and after detailing to confirm the finished work meets dealership quality expectations.
  • Keep the wash bay and detailing area tidy, organized, and safe at all times.
  • Move vehicles as needed between service areas, parking spaces, and customer pickup locations.
  • Handle customer vehicles carefully and follow OEM and dealership procedures throughout the process.
  • Escalate any damage, concerns, or maintenance-related issues to Service Advisors or management.
  • Use detailing supplies, equipment, and tools safely and correctly.
  • Assist the Service Department with additional duties such as lot organization and preparing vehicles.
  • Take on other tasks assigned by leadership.

Qualifications

  • Experience in automotive detailing or car washing is helpful, though not mandatory.
  • Strong focus on detail, cleanliness, and delivering quality results.
  • Ability to stay productive in a busy environment while managing several vehicles during the day.
  • Good communication skills and a cooperative, positive team attitude.
  • Comfort operating dealership vehicles such as sedans, SUVs, and trucks.
  • Dependable work style and strong professional work ethic.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
  • Willingness to work outdoors or in changing weather conditions while moving or staging vehicles.

Compensation

The advertised pay range is CAD 18.00 to CAD 22.00 per hour.
