Job description

Role overview

The Service Center Technician will be responsible for delivering strong customer support, diagnosing and repairing defective customer units, managing spare parts inventory, and contributing to monthly sales and revenue goals at a service center serving a specific region.

Key responsibilities

  • Oversee outstanding work orders each day and ensure customers are kept informed until delivery is completed through the service tracking desk.
  • Make sure every customer whose unit is repaired completes payment after the service is finished.
  • Provide ongoing ticketing-related training to the field team.
  • Allocate field technicians to support high-value customers who cannot travel to the service center.
  • Improve field technician productivity by distributing tickets from the service tracking desk and regional service centers.
  • Maintain reliable monthly forecasting of spare parts demand at service centers.
  • Roll out the new out-of-warranty policy, with particular attention to minimum payment rules based on customer category.
  • Keep spare parts and finished goods inventory accurate at the service center.
  • Carry out monthly forecasting and ordering of spare parts on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure spare parts are transferred on consignment with the correct supporting documentation.
  • Enforce full return of used spare parts to the Refurbishment Center for analysis.
  • Prepare and share a monthly stock count report covering items issued, items used, and any inventory differences.
  • Handle any additional tasks assigned by management.
