This role involves a hands-on approach in a service center setting to help ensure safety through meticulous garment inspection and repair processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Locate or create batches in the Prima system to document washing and inspection details.
  • Comprehend and adhere to specific customer instructions and requirements.
  • Perform detailed inspections on garments or items according to trained methods.
  • Input wash details and any repair findings into the Prima system accurately.
  • Tag identified repairs and generate repair tickets for each item.
  • Organize repaired and non-repaired items separately, maintaining an effective system.
  • Apply inspection tags with initials and dates to items cleared as fit for use, including appropriate condition coding.
  • Place repaired items on designated trolleys for sewing area transfer.
  • Complete and sign all relevant process documentation.
  • Transfer finished garments to the dispatch area using designated trolleys.
  • Understand and strive to meet the seven-day turnaround target and prioritize work accordingly.
  • Report any issues affecting the turnaround time promptly to supervisors.
  • Adapt to shifting duties by working in different sections as needed to enhance productivity.
  • Participate in weekly area maintenance tasks including cleaning and organization.
  • Maintain clean, uncluttered workstations and use equipment in compliance with training and machine requirements.
  • Complete reports for 'Near Hit' safety incidents, resolving where possible and escalating when necessary.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Effective decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficient in updating tickets, paperwork, and the Prima system correctly.
  • Competent in manual handling of laundry bags.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks.
  • Good communication skills within the team.
  • Exemplifies professional conduct as a role model.
  • Competent and confident PC user.
  • Educational attainment equivalent to O-Level or similar.
