Overview

The UAE National Laboratory Technician plays a vital role in supporting laboratory functions by readying equipment and materials, executing lab procedures, upholding safety protocols, and ensuring precise record keeping of all laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory instruments, tools, and materials for practical exercises and testing purposes.
• Carry out laboratory tasks in compliance with defined protocols.
• Maintain and oversee laboratory equipment, arranging servicing when necessary.
• Manage inventory by tracking supplies and initiating orders as required.
• Adhere to laboratory safety directives and infection control measures.
• Keep detailed and accurate logs and documentation of laboratory work.
• Provide assistance to faculty members, instructors, and students during lab sessions.
• Dispose of lab waste properly following safety regulations.
• Implement quality control protocols and report any equipment issues promptly.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Technology, Medical Laboratory Science, or closely related fields.
• A solid understanding of laboratory operations, instruments, and safety procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail coupled with strong organizational capabilities.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within a team.
• Competent in using Microsoft Office suite applications.
