Job description
About the Role
FansPass is a licensed secondary ticketing marketplace serving sport and entertainment fans across Saudi Arabia and the wider MENA region, and it also serves as the official ticketing partner for Qiddiya. The goal is simple: when people search for a match, concert, or attraction, FansPass should be the trusted result they discover first.
This role combines SEO strategy with full website content ownership. You will oversee organic search performance and every piece of website copy across Arabic and English, from event descriptions and city pages to metadata, structured content, and supporting blog articles. You will also help shape how fans find the platform in search and how that traffic converts into ticket sales.
You will report to the Head of Marketing, who is acting as CEO interim, and collaborate closely with the developer, Content Marketing Specialist, and Performance Marketing Manager. The position requires someone who can think strategically while also producing content directly, using AI tools to support scale without compromising quality, factual accuracy, or a natural Gulf Arabic tone.
Key Responsibilities
Take full ownership of SEO and site content across the website in both Arabic and English, handling both planning and execution.
Create, optimise, and update content for all page types, including event, performer, venue, category, city, blog, guide, static, and general website pages, along with page titles, meta descriptions, and headings.
Use AI-assisted workflows to produce large volumes of content efficiently, then edit, verify, and refine every output to maintain brand voice and accuracy.
Verify event details such as dates, venues, teams, and line-ups against live inventory, since precision is critical for a ticketing platform.
Ensure Arabic content sounds natural in Saudi and Gulf usage, not translated mechanically, and use “فانز باس” when referring to the brand name in Arabic.
Develop reusable SEO-friendly templates for event, performer, venue, category, and city pages so each page remains unique, helpful, and capable of ranking.
Own the SEO roadmap for Arabic and English search using real keyword data from tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Keyword Planner, and Search Console.
Assign the right keywords to the right pages before content creation, and plan around seasonal demand such as Saudi Pro League fixtures, Riyadh Season, festivals, and major live events.
Decide which topics, guides, artists, and events should be prioritised based on search demand and commercial potential, so effort focuses on the highest-value opportunities.
Improve titles, meta descriptions, headings, URL structures, and internal linking across the site to lift high-potential pages, strengthen thin pages, and improve chances of appearing in featured snippets, People Also Ask results, and AI-generated answers.
Manage visual SEO by selecting and briefing imagery for blog, event, and performer pages, and by optimising image file names, alt text, dimensions, and compression for accessibility, image search, and Core Web Vitals.
Handle technical SEO tasks including crawlability, indexation, site speed, Core Web Vitals, canonical setup, and site architecture, while implementing schema such as event, venue, breadcrumb, and FAQ.
Manage hreflang implementation for Arabic, English, and GCC markets, identify technical issues, prepare clear developer briefs, and confirm fixes after deployment.
Support authority building through relevant, safe backlink and partnership opportunities, avoiding paid or low-quality links that could create risk.
Monitor rankings, organic traffic, indexing, and organic-driven ticket sales using Search Console, Analytics, and SEO tools, then provide monthly reporting with realistic timelines and performance against targets.
Requirements
Bring 2 to 4+ years of hands-on SEO experience with evidence of measurable traffic growth.
Have native-level Arabic, specifically Gulf or Saudi dialect, plus fluent English, with the ability to write naturally and persuasively in both languages.
Be a strong content writer who can personally create the copy, not only brief or review it.
Be comfortable using AI writing tools at scale while preserving factual correctness, tone, and editorial quality.
Possess solid technical SEO knowledge, including schema, hreflang, site performance, and indexing.
Have experience with data-led keyword research and on-page optimisation, along with strong familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and either Ahrefs or SEMrush.
Think in systems and workflows, with the ability to create scalable templates rather than one-off manual pages.
Interest in live entertainment and sports is an advantage, especially with awareness of the Saudi and Gulf sports and entertainment scene.
Additional value is given to candidates with SEO or content experience in ticketing, events, marketplaces, or e-commerce; programmatic or large-catalogue SEO experience; familiarity with the Saudi/Gulf sports and entertainment landscape; and basic HTML/CSS knowledge for troubleshooting and communicating technical changes.
