Job description
Role overview
FansPass is a fan-first ticketing company focused on making live events easier and more modern through technology. The business is looking for an Organic Social Media Strategist to take charge of its unpaid social presence and shape it from the ground up across the platforms and moments that matter in sports, concerts, and entertainment.
This role is centered on building strategy, creating content, publishing, engaging with audiences, and reacting quickly to live culture. The person in this position will help turn real-time event energy into social content that drives brand visibility, audience growth, and business value. The role reports to the Director of Growth and works closely with content, creative, PR, fan support, and other teams.
Key responsibilities
- Lead FansPass organic social channels end to end, covering planning, content creation, scheduling, and publishing across Instagram, TikTok, X, and other relevant platforms.
- Shape and execute a cohesive social strategy that supports brand objectives and business priorities, including platform-specific plans, content themes, posting frequency, and long-term growth tactics.
- Create culturally timely, platform-native content around live events, sports, concerts, and entertainment moments that encourages engagement, sharing, and brand affinity.
- Monitor trends, conversations, and live activity in real time to spot opportunities for reactive posts, cultural moments, and community participation.
- Produce short-form video content from self-shot footage, user-generated content, or supplied assets, with strong attention to storytelling, pacing, hooks, and native platform style.
- Measure performance across reach, engagement, follower growth, and share of voice, then use that data to improve future content and demonstrate channel impact.
- Manage community interaction by replying to comments, direct messages, and mentions in a voice that feels human, friendly, and on-brand.
- Work with marketing, partnerships, PR, and creative teams to support campaigns, launches, and major moments while keeping the social voice consistent.
- Maintain and organize the content calendar so planned campaigns, evergreen posts, and real-time opportunities are balanced effectively across channels.
- Act as the internal subject matter expert for organic social, sharing platform updates, algorithm changes, format ideas, and other insights with the wider team.
Candidate profile
- At least 4 years of experience in organic social media and content strategy, ideally with an e-commerce brand; experience in sports, live events, or ticketing is considered a strong advantage.
- Self-driven and adaptable, with a practical mindset and the ability to work independently while handling multiple responsibilities at once.
- Highly organized, with experience running content calendars across multiple platforms and campaigns without missing time-sensitive opportunities.
- Strong awareness of internet culture, viral trends, meme formats, and emerging platform behaviors, with the ability to translate them into natural-feeling content.
- Genuine interest in live entertainment and sports, and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to major cultural or event moments.
- Comfortable working with data and analytics, and able to explain what is performing well, what is not, and how social contributes to revenue and business outcomes.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across teams and present social strategy clearly to stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience working with creative teams and using brand guidelines while still finding ways to keep content fresh and platform-appropriate.
- Good understanding of social search and AI-driven discovery, especially on TikTok and Instagram, and how content can be optimized for visibility.
- Hands-on skill in shooting and editing short-form video using tools such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or similar software.
- Sharp editorial judgment and a flexible writing style, with the ability to write captions and hooks that stop users from scrolling.
- Strong creative instincts, including the ability to develop content independently, write effective briefs, and give useful feedback.
- Natural ability to build and manage communities, including knowing when to respond, amplify, or escalate audience interactions.
Perks and benefits
- Flexible work setup with the option to work from the office on any number of days or remain fully remote.
- Health, vision, and dental insurance.
- Annual wellness allowance of 1,500 SAR.
- Quarterly budget of 500 SAR for live event tickets through FansPass.
