SEO and AEO Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled SEO and AEO Specialist to lead Aiven’s visibility efforts in both traditional search engines and modern generative AI platforms. This role involves strategic optimization for AI-driven answers and search engine rankings, anchoring Aiven as a trusted source in an evolving search environment incorporating large language models and AI citation systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to ensure Aiven is prominently cited in AI-generated responses by managing technical files for AI crawlers and optimizing content for retrieval-augmented generation workflows.
• Manage the traditional SEO roadmap, emphasizing site structure, fast JavaScript rendering, and performance metrics like Core Web Vitals to secure top rankings for technical queries across all products.
• Implement and maintain advanced schema markup and structured data (JSON-LD, Schema.org) to build a machine-readable knowledge graph highlighting product details, pricing, and technical benchmarks.
• Utilize tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Scrunch to monitor and analyze global search visibility, tracking metrics beyond clicks to assess AI citations and their impact on leads and trials.
• Stay abreast of and adapt quickly to frequent updates in large language models and search algorithms, leveraging new AI search features ahead of competitors.
• Oversee SEO/AEO agencies when required, ensuring their deliverables align with Aiven’s advanced marketing tactics and drive rapid execution.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum four years of experience in technical search marketing, preferably with exposure to B2B Cloud, Data, or Infrastructure sectors.
• Strong proficiency in leveraging large language models to automate SEO tasks, including scripting and AI-aided content analysis.
• Hands-on experience with Salesforce and advanced SEO platforms, with the ability to link organic discovery to revenue and sales pipelines.
• Expertise in HTML, CSS, and the impact of modern web frameworks on search engine crawling, coupled with close collaboration skills for web engineering teams.
• Data-driven mindset with the capability to demonstrate ROI of zero-click results and AI citations to leadership.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing search dynamics, proactively designing experimental strategies.
• Experience managing external consultants to maintain high execution velocity and technical precision.
