Job description
Role overview
You will support the supervisors in handling pharmacy stock, including medicines and consumables, as well as topping up shelves, repackaging medications, and contributing to automation-related work. The role also includes keeping the pharmacy area clean and assisting operational supervisors as needed.
Key responsibilities
The responsibilities cover routine housekeeping, inventory control, stock movement tracking, storage upkeep, and general operational support across the pharmacy.
- Keep pharmacy counters, tables, cashier areas, display shelves, and other surfaces tidy on a daily basis.
- Carry out general cleaning tasks in the pharmacy, including removal of carton boxes and similar waste.
- Accept incoming goods and verify that deliveries arrive in acceptable condition.
- Issue pharmacy items to different sections, nursing stations, and other areas, while ensuring all stock transfers are properly documented.
- Monitor pharmacy inventory levels and track stock movement.
- Replenish inventory based on expiry dates and ensure items remain in good condition.
- Record expired or damaged medicines and arrange for their disposal.
- Follow the correct process for returning goods to vendors.
- Store stock under suitable conditions at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness and order in storage areas.
- Pre-pack tablets, capsules, and lotions as required.
- Track consumable supplies such as paper, Ziploc bags, and plastic bags.
- Support cycle counts and preparations for stock-taking exercises.
- Clean equipment such as refrigerators and related items.
- Observe and monitor the cleaning work carried out by the ISS team within the pharmacy.
- Help train new health attendants and storekeepers.
- Take part in workplace improvement projects and activities when required.
- Carry out additional duties assigned by the reporting officer.
Requirements
- GCE N or O Level qualification.
- 1 to 2 years of relevant working experience.
- Comfortable using computers.
- Strong team orientation, self-driven attitude, and a service-focused mindset.
Working arrangement
This is a 5.5-day work week with non-shift hours. The position is based at National University Polyclinics (NUP) in the West region.
