About Mandai Wildlife Group

Mandai Wildlife Group manages Mandai Wildlife Reserve in Singapore, a distinctive nature and wildlife destination hosting renowned wildlife parks. The Group is undertaking a comprehensive rejuvenation project that integrates five unique wildlife parks with immersive nature experiences, extensive green public spaces, and an eco-friendly resort adjacent to Singapore's Central Catchment Nature Reserve.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Assistant Vice President of International Sales and Market Development, this senior role encompasses strategic planning, revenue generation, and international market growth spearheading efforts in key territories including Europe, America, and Oceania, as well as the Post Arrival sales channel. The position requires crafting and executing go-to-market strategies aimed at achieving revenue goals while enhancing the Group's brand presence globally and promoting upcoming Mandai developments.

This position demands a strategic mindset combined with innovative thinking, sound technical expertise, strong numerical skills, and the capability to lead and coordinate effectively across various departments. A solid history in Sales, Business Development, and management of international markets will be advantageous. The role includes overseas travel commitments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and align sales objectives with the Group’s overall business strategy, participating actively in strategic planning, sales forecasting, resource allocation, and budgeting within international markets.
  • Achieve assigned sales and visitor growth targets through proactive market development.
  • Design, deploy, and oversee comprehensive sales strategies that leverage key travel partnerships across multiple channels.
  • Set clear sales objectives, monitor progress regularly, and report on performance against targets and key performance indicators.
  • Monitor sales budgets and evaluate return on investment within designated markets to ensure fiscal discipline.
  • Formulate and present comprehensive annual and five-year sales plans integrating assigned markets and accounts, maintaining alignment with corporate strategies.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring to the sales team, fostering a culture centered on teamwork, accountability, performance excellence, and ethical standards.
  • Drive organizational change within the sales function by continuously evaluating department needs, championing initiatives, and mitigating barriers to transformation.
  • Engage effectively with senior internal and external stakeholders to build strategic alliances.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a closely related discipline.
  • Between 6 to 8 years of pertinent experience demonstrating ability to lead teams and deliver significant commercial outcomes.
  • Innovative, energetic, and entrepreneurial in approach, with a positive and proactive mindset.
  • Proven expertise in sales strategy formulation, negotiation, and implementation.
  • Strong commercial insight with excellent problem-solving and analytical capabilities, customer-oriented with a collaborative work style.
  • Deep understanding of the international travel trade ecosystem including market dynamics, distribution frameworks, regulatory compliance, and experienced in collaborating with OTAs, B2B/B2B2C partnerships, airlines, and tourism authorities such as the Singapore Tourism Board.
  • Insightful knowledge of corporate customer segments and partnership management.
  • Familiarity with destination marketing, digital commerce platforms, and data-driven sales optimization techniques.
  • Highly results-driven with strong ownership over targets, capable of performing under pressure while maintaining high standards.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience and substantial achievements in prior roles.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and presentation skills, capable of engaging senior stakeholders and fostering cross-functional cooperation.
  • Fluency or proficiency in an additional language is considered an advantage.
