Position Overview
The Smart Local (TSL) Media Group is looking for an experienced Senior YouTube Producer to support and advance the development of its prominent YouTube channels. This key role involves end-to-end management of YouTube channel operations, including strategic content planning, budget and resource oversight, and production supervision from concept to post-production. Success in this position is measured by subscriber growth and increased channel traffic through creation of compelling content that remains consistent with the brand's voice and visual identity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the creative direction and scheduling of video content for TSL's YouTube channels, including performance reporting.
- Oversee the entire production cycle, guiding projects from initial content development through post-production quality control.
- Ensure that all uploaded content consistently meets established quality standards.
- Recommend and refine workflows to maximize productivity and efficiency across teams.
- Diagnose and resolve process issues in collaboration with local and regional teams.
- Develop, allocate, and manage budgets for both organic and client-based video projects, ensuring financial alignment with various video formats.
- Manage production personnel, including hiring and coordinating freelancers to optimize project completion.
- Lead and mentor a team of Video Producers, providing constructive feedback to boost content creativity and quality.
- Engage professionally with clients to deliver video campaigns that fulfill their requirements and objectives.
- Keep abreast of YouTube trends, algorithm updates, and new platform features to enhance channel growth.
- Analyze viewer engagement, behavior, and retention metrics to inform content strategies.
- Apply SEO best practices to video metadata (titles, descriptions, tags, thumbnails) to increase visibility and audience reach.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum four years of professional experience in video production, especially focusing on YouTube or other digital video platforms.
- Strong and current knowledge of YouTube's ecosystem, trends, and operational standards.
- Proven expertise managing the entire video production process.
- Proficiency in video editing and post-production software including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Lightroom.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in team settings.
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously while addressing production challenges in fast-paced environments.
- Understanding of SEO and social media marketing strategies is a plus.
