Position Summary

The Senior Vice President of Strategy is a high-level executive role focused on crafting, directing, and executing broad strategic initiatives that foster sustainable growth, bolster competitive strength, and drive transformative organizational change. This leader spearheads corporate strategy formulation, market evaluation, business transformation, strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, and provides strategic counsel to executive leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement enterprise-level strategic plans that align with the company's vision and growth targets.
  • Lead the annual and multi-year strategic planning cycles.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive dynamics, customer behavior, and industry disruptions to discover new growth avenues and strategic investments.
  • Drive business transformation initiatives that enhance operational effectiveness, innovation, scalability, and market positioning.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to set strategic priorities and execution plans, supporting organizational restructuring and modernization.
  • Manage market research, industry and competitor analysis, and assess emerging technologies and disruptive business models to inform leadership decisions.
  • Provide frameworks and recommendations for entering new markets, forming partnerships, and making strategic investments.
  • Support and evaluate mergers, acquisitions, partnerships, and strategic investments including financial and market assessments.
  • Coordinate with Finance, Legal, and Business Development teams during strategic transactions and oversee post-acquisition integration processes.
  • Monitor business unit performance, develop performance metrics and dashboards, and optimize business portfolios for growth and profitability.
  • Ensure accountability and progress of strategic initiatives across the company.
  • Advise the CEO and executive team on strategic matters and lead teams responsible for strategy, corporate development, business analysis, and planning.
  • Facilitate executive workshops and decision-making sessions and report progress to senior leadership and the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 15–20+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, business development, investment analysis, or executive leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale enterprise strategy and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong skills in market analysis, financial modeling, competitive intelligence, and strategic planning.
  • Exceptional leadership, analytical, and executive communication abilities.
