Role overview
KAMDAR EYE AND MEDICAL HOSPITAL is hiring a Senior Vice President of Procurement to lead its global procurement agenda. This executive-level position is designed for a seasoned leader who can build a resilient, efficient, and scalable procurement function that supports the company’s long-term growth.
The role is based remotely in the United States and involves shaping enterprise-wide sourcing strategy, improving supplier partnerships, strengthening procurement governance, and driving measurable business impact through operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
- Set the enterprise procurement direction and ensure it supports corporate goals and long-range business priorities.
- Direct all major procurement activities, including strategic sourcing, category management, supplier management, purchasing controls, contract oversight, and supplier performance tracking.
- Recruit, coach, and develop a strong procurement leadership team while promoting teamwork, ownership, innovation, and ongoing improvement.
- Work closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, Legal, IT, and executive stakeholders to keep procurement aligned with broader business needs.
- Create sourcing approaches that raise supplier performance, improve efficiency, protect supply continuity, and enable sustainable growth.
- Define procurement policies, governance structures, supplier qualification criteria, and operating standards that support compliance and consistency.
- Run enterprise supplier relationship programs that deepen strategic partnerships and encourage long-term supplier collaboration.
- Track procurement results using KPIs, supplier scorecards, spend analysis, and executive dashboards to support informed leadership decisions.
- Spot process improvement opportunities through automation, digital tools, analytics, workflow redesign, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Support new product launches, expansion initiatives, operational planning, and enterprise transformation in partnership with cross-functional leaders.
- Monitor market shifts, supplier capability, industry changes, and business needs to identify risks early and pursue opportunities proactively.
- Present procurement strategy, performance updates, sourcing initiatives, and business recommendations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline is required; an MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
- At least 15 years of progressive experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, purchasing, or operations leadership, including executive responsibility.
- Proven ability to build and lead enterprise procurement organizations that improve performance, supplier management, and business outcomes.
- Deep expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, supplier relationship management, procurement governance, contract management, procurement transformation, and cross-functional leadership.
- Experience managing distributed procurement teams in complex, multi-site, or global environments.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, negotiation, executive influence, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical thinking, strategic judgment, and problem-solving ability with a data-driven approach to decisions.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP systems, eProcurement tools, supplier management platforms, contract lifecycle management solutions, spend analytics tools, and business intelligence platforms.
- Ability to balance long-term transformation goals with disciplined day-to-day execution.
Preferred background
- Previous executive procurement leadership in manufacturing, technology, healthcare, life sciences, consumer products, retail, industrial, aerospace, automotive, energy, or other supply chain-heavy sectors.
- Experience leading procurement transformation, supplier optimization, digital procurement programs, or global sourcing initiatives.
- Professional credentials such as CPSM, CSCP, CPM, or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Track record of creating scalable procurement organizations that strengthen supplier collaboration, operational resilience, and long-term performance.
