Senior Vice President of Procurement

About the Role

We are looking for a distinguished Senior Vice President of Procurement to join our executive leadership team and oversee the global procurement strategy, sourcing operations, supplier partnerships, and procurement transformation efforts. This high-level position entails establishing a high-performance procurement division, streamlining purchasing processes, fortifying strategic supplier alliances, and promoting operational excellence crucial to long-term company growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute procurement strategies across the enterprise that align with corporate goals, operational needs, and future growth plans.
• Lead all procurement activities including sourcing, category management, purchasing, supplier relations, governance, and contract management.
• Create scalable procurement policies and best practices to enhance efficiency, consistency, and overall performance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, Legal, Technology, Product, Manufacturing, and Executive Leadership to integrate procurement plans with business strategies.
• Develop and nurture lasting relationships with key suppliers and partners to support operational and organizational excellence.
• Oversee sourcing strategies, supplier performance review, spend optimization, and continual procurement process enhancements.
• Utilize procurement data, market trends, and supplier insights to innovate and improve operations.
• Lead transformation initiatives focused on process improvements, technology adoption, automation, and continuous enhancement.
• Design procurement metrics, dashboards, and reporting to enable data-driven decision making.
• Mentor and guide senior procurement leaders fostering accountability, innovation, teamwork, and professional growth.
• Manage procurement budgets, workforce planning, organizational development, and resource allocation strategically.
• Represent procurement in executive planning and deliver strategic advice supporting enterprise decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, or related area.
• Over 15 years of progressive leadership in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, or operations, including executive roles.
• A strong track record in leading enterprise procurement structures and strategies that generate measurable business results.
• In-depth knowledge of strategic sourcing, category and supplier management, procurement governance, contract administration, and operational excellence.
• Ability to steer large organizational initiatives and influence decisions at the executive level.
• Excellent skills in leadership, communication, negotiation, presentations, and engaging executive stakeholders.
• Advanced analytical, financial, and strategic planning skills supported by a data-driven mindset.
• Experience implementing enterprise procurement systems, ERP, supplier technologies, and business intelligence tools.
• Proficiency managing remote and geographically diverse teams while juggling multiple strategic projects.
• Strong executive presence with exceptional collaboration skills across organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance, or similar fields is favored.
• Certifications such as CPSM, CPSD, CSCP, CPIM, or equivalents are highly valued.
• Prior experience leading procurement in multinational, enterprise, or rapidly growing companies.
• Familiarity with procurement digital transformation, supplier performance management, and best practices in operational excellence.
• Experience managing fully remote or multi-location procurement units.
