Position Overview
The Senior Executive Vice President (SEVP) of Operational Excellence holds a senior leadership role accountable for boosting operational performance, refining business processes, and instituting continuous improvement frameworks. Reporting to top leadership such as the CEO, COO, President, or Board of Directors, the role involves devising and implementing operational excellence strategies, enhancing organizational capabilities, reengineering processes, optimizing costs, spearheading digital operational transformation, and improving overall corporate efficiency. This position bridges corporate strategy with daily execution, advancing execution capacity, operational maturity, and sustainable competitive advantage through world-class operational management systems and initiatives including Lean Operations and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement corporate operational excellence strategies, medium- to long-term operational improvement plans, and annual goals aligned with strategic objectives.
- Create and maintain enterprise-wide operational management systems, standardized processes, and best practice frameworks to enhance operational consistency and maturity.
- Lead Lean Management, Six Sigma, Kaizen initiatives to identify inefficiencies and drive continuous process improvements across the organization.
- Analyze operational performance, resource allocation, and cost structures to formulate and execute efficiency enhancement and cost-reduction programs.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives including optimization of ERP, CRM, supply chain, and business platforms, leveraging automation, AI, and data analytics for operational gains.
- Establish and monitor operational KPIs, OKRs, and performance dashboards, regularly reporting insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Coordinate cross-departmentally with operations, supply chain, manufacturing, R&D, sales, finance, and HR to implement enterprise-wide operational improvements and manage transformation risks.
- Build and develop a global operational excellence team, fostering expertise in process ownership and leadership, and cultivating a culture centered on customer focus, data-driven decision-making, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Management, or related disciplines.
- Advanced degrees such as MBA, EMBA, or Master’s with an emphasis on operations strategy are preferred.
- Certifications like Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, PMP, or Agile methodology certifications are advantageous.
- Over 20 years of experience in corporate operations management, process optimization, and business transformation.
- At least 8 to 15 years in senior management roles in operations excellence within large conglomerates, multinational corporations, or complex organizations.
- Proven track record in leading enterprise-level operational transformations, digital upgrade initiatives, and fostering continuous improvement.
