Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Vice President of Finance to lead financial operations and strategy, reporting directly to the CFO. This pivotal role ensures financial goals support the organization's mission and long-term plans, particularly in nonprofit or similar sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and execute financial strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
- Direct annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
- Manage cash flow and investment activities to optimize returns.
- Maintain robust internal controls ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Oversee investment monitoring and advise on maximizing returns.
- Enhance analytics capabilities to evaluate program and agency effectiveness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline required; Master’s degree and CPA credentials preferred.
- At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in finance, ideally within the nonprofit sector.
- Strong analytical aptitude with proficiency in interpreting financial statements and complex calculations.
Additional Requirements
- Willingness and ability to travel for meetings and training sessions.
- Valid driver’s license and compliance with agency driving standards.
Compensation and Benefits
The average total compensation for this position is $135,054.40, encompassing base salary, incentives, bonuses, overtime, and shift differentials.
Additional benefits include flexible scheduling, 20 days of personal leave in the first year increasing to 25 days thereafter, 12 paid holidays annually, a longevity bonus, and tuition reimbursement.
