Position Overview
The Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy is a key executive role responsible for guiding the company’s overarching long-term strategic vision, steering enterprise-level planning, and aiding critical decision-making processes throughout the organization. This leadership position works directly alongside the CEO and the executive team to shape corporate strategy, explore growth prospects, boost competitive positioning, and align strategic initiatives with business goals and enduring value creation.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement long-range corporate strategies that reflect business priorities and growth ambitions.
- Oversee comprehensive enterprise strategic planning and annual business plans.
- Convert the corporate vision into actionable strategic goals and measurable targets.
- Provide guidance to senior leadership on strategic directions and prioritize organizational objectives.
- Ensure cohesion between strategic planning and operational execution.
- Assess emerging markets and industries to identify growth opportunities and conduct detailed competitive and industry trend analysis.
- Drive initiatives for business expansion, diversification, and value enhancement.
- Evaluate and support key corporate investments and developmental projects.
- Lead corporate development activities including strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and alliances.
- Manage strategic evaluations for significant business investments and enhance governance over strategic initiatives.
- Create executive reports, dashboards, and frameworks to track business performance relative to strategic goals.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support executive-level decision-making and board presentations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as finance, operations, product development, sales, marketing, and customer relations to align strategies across the enterprise.
- Lead and develop corporate strategy teams, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and forward-thinking.
- Support leadership development, succession strategies, and capability building within the organization.
Experience and Qualification Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Management, or relevant fields; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years’ senior leadership experience spanning corporate strategy, management consulting, corporate development, investment banking, or similar disciplines.
- Demonstrated success influencing C-suite executives and leading enterprise-wide strategic projects.
- Strong proficiency in analytical thinking, financial analysis, strategic planning, and executive communication.
- Preferred background includes investment management, private equity, venture capital, fintech, strategic finance, or technology-driven financial sectors.
- Experience in global or multi-regional businesses and familiarity with portfolio management, market research, and financial modeling.
- Proven ability to effectively partner with executive teams, boards, and investors.
