Overview
The Senior Vice President of Multifamily Asset Management plays a key leadership role directing the performance and strategic management of a diverse multifamily portfolio primarily located in Florida, Texas, and other select target markets. This executive position requires collaboration with various departments including acquisitions, capital projects, and property management to maximize investment performance and portfolio growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the multifamily asset management efforts, managing all portfolio assets across designated markets.
- Create and implement asset-specific business plans that align with the firm's investment goals and target returns.
- Continuously monitor portfolio performance, providing comprehensive financial and operational reports to ownership.
- Identify and pursue initiatives to increase net operating income, occupancy rates, and overall property values.
- Offer strategic counsel to ownership and principal stakeholders on portfolio strategies, including decisions regarding asset retention or disposition and capital deployment.
- Approve and oversee preparation of annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and long-term business strategies.
- Analyze financial reports and key performance indicators to manage revenue, expenses, and net operating income in accordance with underwriting assumptions.
- Assess leasing strategies, rent growth, and market positioning to optimize property performance.
- Lead execution of value-add projects and capital improvements.
Supervise property management activities.
Maintain productive relationships with lenders, investors, and partners.
Provide leadership and foster development within the asset management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Real Estate, Business Administration, Economics, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Advanced degrees such as an MBA or a Master’s in Real Estate from an accredited institution are strongly preferred.
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in multifamily asset management with leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience managing multifamily portfolios across multiple markets with full responsibility.
- Demonstrated success in value-add and opportunistic multifamily investment strategies.
- Experience working within family offices, private equity firms, REITs, or institutional investment organizations is highly desirable.
Additional Information
- Work location is Miami, FL with 20-40% travel anticipated.
- Compensation includes a base salary ranging between 200,000 and 230,000 USD annually, supplemented by a 40-60% performance bonus and profit carry.
