Job description

About the Role

This senior leadership role sits within Citco Middle Office Solutions (MOS), a key part of an integrated fund services platform that supports the full trade lifecycle for sophisticated fund structures. The function delivers operational support through proprietary technology, domain expertise, and global delivery capabilities, helping clients gain better control, transparency, and efficiency in middle office activity.

About MOS

The MOS platform is designed to support alternative asset managers with a technology-driven operating model that brings together data, process, and reporting. Core service areas include collateral management, treasury, and trade operations.

  • Collateral Management: margin calculations, dispute handling, collateral optimisation, and regulatory margin services.
  • Treasury: OTC settlements, movement of cash and securities, and payment execution through Citco’s treasury infrastructure.
  • Trade Operations: same-day validation and reconciliation of trade information across internal systems and external counterparties, with an emphasis on accuracy, timely issue resolution, and settlement readiness.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will lead the Trade Operations capability for Middle Office Solutions across Europe and will be accountable for building and maintaining a scalable operating model that serves a varied institutional client base.

  • Set and execute the strategic direction for Trade Operations, with a focus on automation, standardisation, and stronger operational performance.
  • Help define the future direction of the MOS offering so it aligns with business growth plans and market developments.
  • Drive transformation initiatives that use technology and process redesign to improve efficiency, reduce manual work, and strengthen client outcomes.
  • Work closely with Product and Technology teams to build a differentiated proprietary middle office platform.
  • Prioritise and deliver the MOS development roadmap to keep the platform innovative and competitively positioned.
  • Represent the MOS platform in senior client discussions, including business development meetings, pitch activity, and solution design sessions.
  • Develop and sustain strategic client partnerships and position MOS as a trusted outsourcing solution.
  • Contribute to revenue growth through service expansion, operating model optimisation, and delivery of scalable solutions.
  • Oversee onboarding and integration of new clients in partnership with Data Operations and Integration teams.
  • Ensure new mandates are transitioned smoothly, with strong attention to scalability, standardisation, and speed to market.
  • Build and maintain a strong risk and control environment across Trade Operations, aligned to best practice and regulatory expectations.
  • Partner with Internal Audit and Quality Control teams to raise governance standards and improve operating discipline.
  • Ensure risks and incidents are escalated and managed effectively across onshore and outsourced locations.
  • Promote global consistency in processes, controls, and operating models to improve scalability, efficiency, and service quality.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts that reduce operational risk and enhance delivery.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing team across multiple locations, creating a culture focused on accountability, innovation, and client service.
  • Own workforce planning, succession planning, and leadership development within the Trade Operations team.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to senior leaders, including the Vice President, to strengthen leadership capability and execution.

Required Experience and Knowledge

This role calls for deep trade operations expertise, including a strong history of managing matching, exception handling, and reconciliation in high-volume, complex environments. Candidates should also have solid knowledge of OTC derivatives, listed products, and other complex financial instruments.
