Overview
The Brand, Innovation, and Content team at Citi is looking for an experienced senior leader to fill the role of Senior Vice President in Marketing Effectiveness. This key position drives the advancement of marketing and business growth by implementing comprehensive measurement and analytics frameworks, alongside fostering a culture of continuous optimization within the marketing function.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner strategically with business marketing teams to advise on campaign structure, learning objectives, and market optimizations aimed at maximizing effectiveness and return on investment.
- Develop and oversee measurement frameworks for multifaceted marketing engagements including brand campaigns, sponsorships, content marketing, partnerships, and experiential events to quantify business outcomes.
- Work collaboratively with shared capabilities teams to ensure integrated use of data, tools, and platforms facilitating end-to-end marketing measurement.
- Transform complex data analyses into straightforward, persuasive insights and strategic advice tailored for senior leadership and marketing stakeholders.
- Promote a data-centric culture by training the marketing teams on best practices for measurement, analytical methodologies, and interpretation of performance insights.
- Stay updated with the latest advances in marketing science, measurement techniques, and analytical technologies to continuously enhance Citi’s marketing effectiveness capabilities.
- Evaluate risks prudently when making business decisions to protect the firm’s reputation and ensure compliance with relevant laws, policies, and ethical standards, escalating issues transparently as necessary.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Progressive experience in marketing analytics, marketing science, or other data-driven marketing roles.
- Hands-on expertise with a variety of measurement methods such as Marketing Mix Modeling (MMM), Multi-Touch Attribution (MTA), brand lift assessments, and tailored ROI analyses.
- Proven ability to design and manage measurement frameworks for varied marketing channels, with strong preference for experience in content, sponsorship, and event metrics.
- Advanced analytical skills capable of consolidating large, intricate datasets into actionable business recommendations.
- Demonstrated influence and collaboration skills across complex organizational structures, from practitioners to executive levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with proficiency in storytelling through data visualization.
- Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of contemporary marketing technologies and data infrastructures, including ad servers, data management platforms, and analytics visualization tools.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
