Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Fund Accounting operations team managing UK and Luxembourg regulated fund products, overseeing accounting services including net asset value (NAV) determinations.
• Serve as the primary Fund Accounting Operations lead for your jurisdiction, building strong relationships with senior client stakeholders to influence decisions and ensure consistent delivery of excellent service.
• Drive operational excellence throughout the Fund Accounting lifecycle, supervising daily NAV production and valuation control processes.
• Collaborate closely with global teams including Product, Technology, Risk, Middle Office, and Functional Utilities to align processes, resolve cross-functional challenges, and maintain consistent control standards.
• Manage onboarding, system conversions, and launches for new funds and complex product structures, ensuring operational readiness for client-driven changes.
• Strengthen the control environment and promote a robust risk culture by overseeing key controls, managing audit interactions, and addressing operational risk themes.
• Advocate for the adoption of automation, digital transformation, and AI-enabled tools to minimize manual interventions and enhance operational resilience.

Requirements

• Comprehensive expertise in Fund Accounting with deep knowledge of NAV production, valuation techniques, complex financial instruments, and accounting standards relevant to European regulated mutual funds.
• Proven leadership ability in managing and motivating operational teams while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Strong client-facing skills capable of influencing senior stakeholders and handling complex negotiations and priorities.
• Experienced in navigating matrix organizations and aligning global teams to resolve operational issues effectively.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills, adept at interpreting data and implementing sustainable solutions in a risk-sensitive context.
• Excellent communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior leadership and mentoring teams on complex subjects.
• High adaptability and resilience in managing multiple deadlines and evolving client expectations.
• Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and judgment on collaboration and escalation needs.
• Passion for operational excellence and leading change-oriented teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related fields; advanced degrees or professional certifications are beneficial.
