Role Summary
The Senior Vice President, Business Planning is a full-time remote leadership position responsible for shaping both long-range and near-term planning activities across the business. The role owns the creation of business plans, financial projections, and strategic roadmaps that support company goals and long-term expansion.
In this position, you will lead planning cycles across departments, manage budgeting and forecasting workflows, and turn complex information into practical recommendations for executive teams. The role works closely with finance, operations, product, and commercial functions to review performance, evaluate risk, and find opportunities for investment and cost efficiency.
You will also guide and develop planning and analytics teams, introduce effective planning practices, and help ensure the business planning framework remains clear, consistent, and flexible as market conditions change.
Qualifications
- Substantial background in business planning, including responsibility for multi-year plans, operating plans, and performance measurement systems.
- Strong analytical capability, with experience working through complex datasets, creating models, and communicating findings to senior leaders.
- Solid finance and budgeting expertise, including forecasting, variance review, capital allocation, and efficient use of resources.
- Proven strategic planning experience, including corporate strategy development, market analysis, and scenario planning.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing senior-level teams, encouraging collaboration, and directing cross-functional work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence executive decisions and align stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed setup, with strong organization and self-management habits.
- An advanced degree such as an MBA, a master’s in finance or economics, or an equivalent mix of education and experience is preferred.
- Background in data-driven or analytics-led organizations is an advantage; exposure to technology or consulting environments is a plus.
