Job description
About the Role
This position is for an experienced Senior UX Strategist / Service Designer to join the design team. The work sits at the crossroads of strategy, service design, and user-centered UX in an AI-driven environment. You’ll approach problems as systems, simplify complexity into clear solutions, and balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. Comfort with prototyping and AI-enabled tools and workflows is important.
What You’ll Do
- Own projects from the earliest problem framing stage through to delivery, ensuring the final outcome is both impactful and usable.
- Partner closely with product, engineering, research, and customer-facing teams so the UX point of view is carried through the full product and customer journey.
- Plan and run user interviews to gather meaningful insights from the people the product is intended to serve.
- Lead workshops and co-creation sessions together with customers.
- Break down complex problem areas, map relationships, and identify patterns that may not be immediately visible.
- Translate complex challenges into practical concepts and prototypes that can move work forward quickly.
- Design intuitive ways to present AI capabilities so they feel clear and easy to understand.
- Develop trust with stakeholders, deliver strong presentations, and build productive client partnerships.
- Move ideas through the full design cycle, from rough concepts to tested and refined solutions.
- Create AI-based solutions and internal AI tools for both clients and internal use cases.
- Use vibe coding and generative AI tools to accelerate ideation and prototype validation.
- Work with interdisciplinary, international teams and collaborate closely with clients through frequent on-site visits for workshops and co-creation.
What You Bring
- Several years of professional experience in UX, service design, and strategic design work, with the ability to turn ideas into workable solutions.
- A systems-oriented mindset and a habit of asking deeper questions to uncover what others may miss.
- Strong facilitation skills for workshops and client meetings, with confidence in leading group processes toward clear outcomes.
- Experience managing stakeholders and communicating well across levels, including with engineers and senior leadership.
- Strong prototyping ability, ranging from low-fidelity concepts to proof-of-concept work; experience combining this with AI tools is a plus.
- Curiosity, persistence, and the willingness to keep exploring until the real issue is uncovered.
- The ability to move comfortably between high-level strategy and detailed execution.
- Native-level German and business-fluent English, with confidence in international working environments.
- The ability to stay composed, effective, and action-oriented in fast-changing, high-pressure settings.
- Comfort using modern design and prototyping tools and integrating AI tools into the design process.
- Experience with exploratory, AI-supported idea development and vibe coding is advantageous.
What Makes This Opportunity Stand Out
You’ll work in a role that blends design, strategy, and AI, where thoughtful problem solving matters more than replacing judgment with automation. The team values strong questions, clear communication, curiosity, and the ability to influence others with energy and conviction. Experience in the public sector would be an added advantage.
About the Company
The company is a deep-tech organization focused on solving real-world challenges for enterprise and public-sector clients through artificial intelligence that is practical, impactful, and usable. The environment is established enough to handle ambitious projects, while still being agile, curious, and bold.
You’ll work with talented colleagues in a collaborative setting that encourages learning, short communication paths, creative autonomy, and direct impact on client work.
