About the Role
We are seeking an insightful and commercially savvy Trade Analyst to become a vital member of our War Room team. This position operates at the confluence of global trade, geopolitics, economics, and export strategy, particularly targeting the international Basmati rice sector. The analyst will observe geopolitical changes, trade policies, competitor maneuvers, currency trends, and worldwide demand patterns, converting intricate data into practical intelligence that informs strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Continuously track geopolitical, economic, and trade developments that influence global Basmati rice exports
- Analyze currency fluctuations and issue advisories to identify risks and opportunities
- Create comprehensive market intelligence reports, forecasts, dashboards, and executive briefs
- Spot emerging risks and opportunities impacting export business outcomes
- Support business growth, pricing strategies, and strategic planning with analytical insights
- Compile market research and competitor intelligence reports for senior management evaluation
Required Qualifications
- MBA in International Trade, MA in Economics, International Relations, Business Analytics, or a related discipline
- 5 to 7 years of professional experience in Trade Analysis, Market Intelligence, Economic Research, Export Strategy, or related areas
- In-depth knowledge of international trade, agricultural exports, and global market behavior
- Exceptional analytical, research, and report-writing capabilities
- Proficiency in advanced Excel or Google Sheets functionalities
- Familiarity with data visualization platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalents
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Preferred Experience
- Understanding of export markets including Gulf countries, the United Kingdom, South Asia, or North America
