Senior Test Engineer - Trade Finance Digitalization (Temenos T24)

Job Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Test Engineer to spearhead comprehensive testing activities for a Trade Finance Digital Portal integrated with the Temenos T24 Core Banking system. This role demands deep expertise in Trade Finance processes, Temenos T24 modules, QA leadership, and banking system integrations, with proven experience managing testing teams and delivering complex digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all testing phases including strategy formation, planning, estimation, execution, defect tracking, and reporting.
• Lead and guide a team comprising Testers, Senior Testers, and specific T24 Testers.
• Design and implement functional, integration, regression, user acceptance, and end-to-end tests to ensure system quality.
• Confirm the accuracy of Trade Finance workflows within the Digital Portal, BPM/Workflow systems, APIs, and Temenos T24 modules.
• Conduct detailed testing of Trade Finance segments such as Letters of Credit, LC Drawings, Documentary Collections/Bills, Trade Loans, and Delivery modules particularly for SWIFT message generation.
• Validate Straight-Through Processing (STP), maker-checker processes, API integrations, fee structures, accounting entries, limits, and collateral management.
• Verify compliance and successful generation of SWIFT messages according to SWIFT and ICC standards.
• Lead defect triage sessions, maintain stakeholder communication, produce quality reports, and ensure readiness for releases.
• Support validation related to security, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes, audit trails, performance evaluation, and reconciliation testing.
• Collaborate closely with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Development and Automation teams to deliver quality solutions.

Candidate Requirements

• Immediate joiners preferred with availability to work onsite in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
• A minimum of 10 years of Quality Assurance experience in the banking sector, including at least 5 years testing Trade Finance functions.
• Extensive hands-on knowledge of Temenos T24 Trade Finance modules such as Letters of Credit, LC Drawings, Documentary Collections, Trade Loans, and Delivery modules.
• Experience with Digital Banking portals and complex integrations with Core Banking platforms.
• In-depth understanding of Trade Finance products, transaction workflows, and their complete lifecycle.
• Experience in validating Straight-Through Processing, performing API and integration tests, and ensuring SWIFT messaging compliance.
• Proficient with defect management tools like JIRA.
• Well-versed in Agile practices and test governance frameworks.
• Strong leadership capabilities, excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and quality reporting skills.
