Role Overview

The MEA Senior Tender Specialist functions as an experienced independent contributor overseeing bid and tender contract development and management. This role entails drafting and managing contractual agreements from start to finish while collaborating closely with internal partners to drive tender opportunities and sales success. The position requires managing tender activities to meet deadlines and market demands, with close coordination with sales and marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports managers in applying policies for administration, negotiation, and management of bids, tender contracts, and service agreements, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Leads bid and contract development processes and administers contracts under general supervision.
  • Coordinates pre-sales bid activities including drafting RFPs, evaluating bids, and preparing due diligence responses.
  • Monitors contract management performance using key indicators for both pre-signature and post-signature stages.
  • Delivers operational outputs aligned with leadership goals within set standards.
  • Embodies Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and leadership values in daily team interactions.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Proven experience in contract management to ensure agreements meet terms, reduce risks, and maintain compliance.
  • Skilled in office administration supporting efficient daily operations.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and its application in processes.
  • Capable of implementing sales enablement strategies to boost sales team effectiveness.
  • Experience in tender management, coordinating bids to ensure competitive and compliant submissions.
  • Attention to detail and proactive collaboration to achieve individual and team goals.
  • Fluent English proficiency with effective presentation skills.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office tools.

Additional Information

  • Approximately 10% travel domestically and internationally is expected.
  • Experience working in an international company setting is preferred.
  • Following the planned separation of Johnson & Johnson’s Orthopaedics business into a standalone company (DePuy Synthes), employment terms may transition accordingly subject to regulatory and consultation processes.
