Role overview

This opportunity is for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a major Irish organisation’s long-running data transformation programme. The assignment runs for 12 months on a daily-rate contract, with a rate in the range of 500 to 550 per day. The work will contribute to key data capabilities across business intelligence, reporting, analytics, governance, and more informed decision-making.

In this position, you will work across business, technology, and delivery teams to shape practical data solutions in a complex enterprise setting. You will be expected to turn strategic needs into clear requirements and help drive multiple workstreams forward within a broader multi-year roadmap.

Responsibilities

You will act as the link between business stakeholders, data specialists, architects, and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are understood and documented clearly.

  • Work with senior stakeholders to uncover business goals and data needs.
  • Gather, assess, and record business, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Convert business objectives into user stories, process maps, and technical documentation.
  • Partner with Data Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
  • Assist with data modelling, data mapping, and data migration work.
  • Run workshops, requirements meetings, and stakeholder review sessions.
  • Document data movements, business processes, and reporting needs.

Requirements

The role suits an experienced Business Analyst with a strong track record in enterprise-scale environments, especially on data-led transformation work.

  • At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Substantial experience in large-scale data, analytics, or digital transformation programmes.
  • Hands-on exposure to data warehouses, data lakes, cloud data platforms, or enterprise reporting tools.
  • Ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong capability in requirement discovery, process mapping, and documentation.
  • Experience delivering in Agile and/or hybrid project environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
