Role overview
This opportunity is for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to support a major Irish organisation’s long-running data transformation programme. The assignment runs for 12 months on a daily-rate contract, with a rate in the range of 500 to 550 per day. The work will contribute to key data capabilities across business intelligence, reporting, analytics, governance, and more informed decision-making.
In this position, you will work across business, technology, and delivery teams to shape practical data solutions in a complex enterprise setting. You will be expected to turn strategic needs into clear requirements and help drive multiple workstreams forward within a broader multi-year roadmap.
Responsibilities
You will act as the link between business stakeholders, data specialists, architects, and delivery teams, ensuring requirements are understood and documented clearly.
- Work with senior stakeholders to uncover business goals and data needs.
- Gather, assess, and record business, functional, and technical requirements.
- Convert business objectives into user stories, process maps, and technical documentation.
- Partner with Data Engineers, Architects, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
- Assist with data modelling, data mapping, and data migration work.
- Run workshops, requirements meetings, and stakeholder review sessions.
- Document data movements, business processes, and reporting needs.
Requirements
The role suits an experienced Business Analyst with a strong track record in enterprise-scale environments, especially on data-led transformation work.
- At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
- Substantial experience in large-scale data, analytics, or digital transformation programmes.
- Hands-on exposure to data warehouses, data lakes, cloud data platforms, or enterprise reporting tools.
- Ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong capability in requirement discovery, process mapping, and documentation.
- Experience delivering in Agile and/or hybrid project environments.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Contract details
This is a 12-month initial contract on a daily-rate basis, with compensation set between 500 and 550 per day.
