Role Overview
We seek a Senior Support Engineer specialized in IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) to join our Managed Services team. This role centers on supporting, maintaining, and enhancing enterprise BAW production systems for global clients. You will collaborate with architects, product teams, and client stakeholders to ensure smooth platform operations, troubleshoot production issues, and implement continuous improvements.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
This position demands hands-on involvement in technical support, requiring expertise in troubleshooting application, middleware, and OS layers. Effective communication and customer engagement skills are essential to succeed in this role.
- Support and maintain IBM BAW production environments.
- Understand and work with BAW architecture, runtime components, and deployment models.
- Develop and enhance IBM BAW solutions including process design, coach, and UI development.
- Integrate services leveraging REST and SOAP web services.
- Troubleshoot and modify existing BAW process applications.
- Administer Windows and Linux systems, including log analysis and service management.
- Perform scripting tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or similar tools.
- Manage file systems and permissions.
- Operate effectively within support or managed service settings, prioritizing work independently.
- Communicate clearly in both written and verbal formats.
Mandatory Technical Skills
- IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) expertise
- IBM BAW process development and production support experience
- Proficient in REST and SOAP web services
- Experience with Windows and Linux system administration
- Strong troubleshooting and production support capabilities
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with IBM BAW on Cloud (BAWoC) or CP4BA platform
- Knowledge of WebSphere Application Server (Traditional or Liberty)
- Experience with LDAP and Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies
- Database experience including DB2, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server
- Exposure to OutSystems, Automation Anywhere (AAI), Camunda 8, Intelligent Automation, Blue Prism infrastructure, and Blue Prism Hub
