Since its founding in 2007 by an engineer, the company has focused on delivering comprehensive IT services supporting mission-critical U.S. Government operations and the Intelligence Community.
Work Location and Travel
The role is predominantly remote, with approximately 95% remote work. Candidates should be prepared to travel onsite roughly once every six weeks, though this may be subject to change.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a security-cleared professional capable of obtaining a Public Trust clearance from the Department of Homeland Security. A Bachelor's degree combined with three years of relevant experience in enterprise IT services and cybersecurity technical support is required.
Experience and Technical Skills
- Proven expertise with network and security management tools, focusing on SIEM and evolving toward SOAR platform usage.
- Experience deploying, managing, and maintaining SOC services and systems in hybrid on-premises and cloud enterprise environments.
- Familiarity with a broad range of security and networking technologies to enable effective collaboration with engineering teams.
- Ability to quickly grasp complex and evolving technical environments.
- Independent self-starter who manages time efficiently.
- Working knowledge of cloud services such as AWS and Azure.
- Strong communication skills across multiple organizational levels including engineers, operations staff, and management.
- Hands-on experience or knowledge of technologies including Splunk ES, Tenable, CrowdStrike, Lookout, Swimlane, Axonius, and Windows or Linux administration is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain, configure, patch, upgrade, and optimize cybersecurity tools, applications, and monitoring devices.
- Manage SIEM applications to consolidate data from operating systems, IDS, IPS, firewalls, proxy servers, DLP, antivirus, vulnerability scanning tools, and other relevant security systems.
- Improve and sustain data interfaces involving operations, network, SOC, and operating systems inputs into the SIEM, collaborating closely with ISSOs for asset categorization and prioritization.
- Monitor DHS S&T systems and networks to identify malicious activity using advanced security technologies and respond promptly to security alerts.
- Analyze system vulnerabilities, cyber threat intelligence, and attack patterns.
- Respond to security incidents and provide effective incident response actions.
- Support development of incident response playbooks and long-term cybersecurity policies and strategies.
- Work collaboratively with various S&T service units to resolve shared cybersecurity challenges.
- Document incident reports and actions performed by the SOC team.
- Prepare detailed reports and communicate findings efficiently to management and peer teams.
