Work Arrangement
This role is hybrid, with a requirement to work onsite at least two days per week at the Mississauga office. Remote work is allowed for the remaining days based on team and business needs.
Role Summary
The Corporate Strategy & Business Development division is seeking a motivated Senior Strategy Analyst to evaluate, define, and help implement strategic growth opportunities across the organization. The position involves collaborating with senior management to craft strategic recommendations, analyze market dynamics, support business development, and contribute to enterprise-wide planning. It offers exposure to executive leadership and an opportunity to influence growth and healthcare innovation.
Key Responsibilities
- Support strategic initiatives at enterprise and business-unit levels to identify growth, innovation, and operational enhancements.
- Conduct market research, competitive and customer insights analysis, and industry evaluations to inform decisions.
- Create business cases, financial analyses, and produce executive-level presentations to back strategic proposals.
- Identify opportunities by assessing patient, customer, and market needs within McKesson's healthcare ecosystem.
- Contribute to strategic planning including annual plans, executive reports, and performance tracking.
- Evaluate partnerships, acquisitions, and corporate development possibilities.
- Participate in due diligence and transaction activities for mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
- Analyze healthcare market trends, competition, and emerging prospects.
- Lead or assist cross-functional strategic projects from analysis through planning stages.
- Build collaborative relationships across business units and corporate functions.
- Prepare executive-ready reports and recommendations for senior leadership.
- Offer thought leadership and insights on healthcare, pharmacy, distribution, and retail markets.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Commerce, or relevant fields.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in strategy, healthcare, management consulting, corporate or business development roles.
- Strong experience in developing business cases, strategic recommendations, and presenting to executives.
- Proficiency in quantitative and qualitative data analysis to guide business decisions.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and efficiently collaborate across teams.
- Executive presence with excellent communication skills tailored for senior leadership.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation communication capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or other advanced business degree.
- Background in management consulting.
- Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, pharmacy, retail healthcare, or distribution sectors.
- Involvement in M&A, strategic partnerships, or corporate development functions.
- Expertise in financial modeling and assessing investment opportunities.
- Understanding of healthcare market dynamics, patient journeys, and stakeholder ecosystems.
Compensation and Additional Information
McKesson offers a competitive total rewards package, including base salary ranging from $81,500 to $108,600 annually plus potential additional compensation such as bonuses or long-term incentives. Compensation is aligned to performance, experience, market benchmarks, and applicable regulations.
