About the Role
This position sits within ADVANCED CONCEPTS, an EDGE entity focused on developing and deploying advanced technology solutions. The team is accelerating work on autonomous systems, including medium-endurance high-altitude fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems, precision loitering munitions, cost-efficient cruise missiles, and guided artillery munitions.
Core Responsibilities
- Expertly pilot FPV drones, including high-speed maneuvering and pursuit of moving targets.
- Assemble and configure FPV drones as needed.
- Operate DJI drone platforms.
- Capture cinematic photos and video content.
- Edit video and images using tools such as Photoshop and Final Cut Pro X, along with similar software.
- Support teammates with operational tasks whenever required.
- Work with still cameras and Ronin gimbals.
- Create or support 3D animation work.
- Handle petty cash and coordinate follow-up with finance.
- Liaise with the operations manager to arrange flight test requirements.
- Book and coordinate flight tests.
- Raise purchase requisitions and track them with procurement.
- Arrange drivers for flight test activities.
- Ensure any item moved for flight testing has the required exit permit.
Experience and Qualifications
The role calls for more than 10 years of experience with FPV systems, including drones, remote-controlled vehicles, and related camera and transmission technologies. Candidates should have practical experience setting up, calibrating, and maintaining FPV systems in challenging or mission-critical settings. Strong familiarity with FPV camera setups, video transmission systems, and control interfaces is required, along with the ability to diagnose issues involving signal quality, range, and interference. A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is acceptable. Proficiency with FPV systems, preferably DJI drones, is important. The role also demands solid test planning and execution skills, the ability to carry out field tests in dynamic environments such as military exercises or field trials, careful attention to detail during setup and troubleshooting, and strong critical thinking under pressure.

Applicants should be comfortable working in dynamic field environments and should be prepared to support testing, evaluation, troubleshooting, and risk-aware operations in real-world conditions.
