Senior Specialist - Community Engagement

Overview

The Senior Specialist in Community Engagement plays a vital role in supporting the rollout of community-centric initiatives. This individual collaborates with various stakeholders to manage communications and assists in delivering programs aimed at cultivating positive relationships between the organization and surrounding communities. They ensure the smooth conduct of engagement activities while collecting community feedback to enhance ongoing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of community engagement strategies that are in alignment with Vision 2030 and the organization's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) goals.
• Plan and assist in outreach initiatives, forums, town hall events, and local consultations involving residents and key parties.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Participate in identifying and mapping local stakeholders relevant to engagement efforts.
• Help oversee communication channels and coordinate appropriate responses to community inquiries or concerns.
• Maintain and update stakeholder contact databases following meetings and interactions to ensure accuracy.

Program Implementation

• Manage logistical aspects and support the execution of community programs focused on education, training, well-being, and cultural activities.
• Coordinate with contractors, collaborators, and vendors to guarantee timely and effective delivery of community initiatives.

Monitoring and Reporting

• Assist in assembling reports, presentations, and documentation related to engagement activities for both internal and external audiences.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Social Development, Community Relations, Communications, or a closely related discipline is required.
• At least three years of experience working in community engagement roles, preferably linked to large-scale infrastructure or urban development projects.
