Role overview
AxiaMetrics is looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Subject Matter Expert with deep hands-on experience in Oracle Order and Service Management (OSM), Oracle Order Entry Point (OEP), and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for telecom environments. The role calls for 8–10+ years of relevant experience.
What you will do
- Architect, build, roll out, and support Oracle OSM 7.x/8.x cartridges and telecom order fulfilment flows.
- Oversee the full order journey, from capture and decomposition through orchestration, fulfilment, and closure.
- Carry out OSM installation, version upgrades, configuration, and migration tasks.
- Create and improve OEP middleware services, system integrations, notification mechanisms, and bulk order handling features.
- Connect with OSS/BSS platforms such as UIM, ASAP, BRM, CRM, and other third-party systems.
- Develop automation plug-ins, XQuery mappings, SOAP-based services, and Java solutions.
- Run and tune Oracle WebLogic environments, including setup, patching, performance optimisation, and scaling.
- Set up and administer Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to track system performance, platform health, incidents, and infrastructure.
- Contribute to CI/CD workflows using Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Investigate order fallout, assess downstream impact, and analyse compatibility concerns.
Technical skills and background
- Strong experience with Oracle OSM 7.x/8.x cartridge development and administration.
- Practical knowledge of Oracle OEP middleware development and integration.
- Working expertise in Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring and administration.
- Solid command of Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Apache Camel, and XML-related technologies such as XQuery, XPath, XML, and SOAP.
- Experience administering Oracle WebLogic Server.
- Ability to work with SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, and Linux/Unix systems.
- Familiarity with Ant, Git, Jenkins, and Artifactory.
- Telecom domain exposure across GSM, voice, data, wireless, DSL, and VoIP services.
Preferred exposure
- Oracle RODOD/RSDOD implementation experience.
- Hands-on work on OSS/BSS integration assignments.
- Background in telecom order management, provisioning, and fulfilment platforms.
