Role Overview

The Senior Social Media Coordinator will play a pivotal part in maintaining the smooth operation of a comprehensive, multi-sector social media initiative. This position focuses on managing the logistical aspects of content flow—such as organizing materials, facilitating publishing procedures, directing approval processes, and escalating community interactions—allowing Social Media Managers and Content Leads to concentrate on strategy, narrative development, and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support publishing workflows across all social media platforms by overseeing schedules, ensuring assets are ready, and routing approvals efficiently.
  • Assist Social Media Managers in content trafficking by uploading assets, applying tags, and scheduling posts using social media management tools like Sprinklr.
  • Maintain the integrity of the editorial calendar by keeping timelines, assets, and metadata accurate and current.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Account Managers to monitor deliverables and ensure timely content production.
  • Manage monitoring of inboxes, direct messages, and community interactions to identify and escalate posts or messages needing attention by Social Media Managers or Leads.
  • Organize creative materials, briefs, feedback, and documentation within shared systems for easy access and continuity.
  • Support reporting efforts by gathering screenshots, links, and basic metrics for monthly and quarterly performance reviews.
  • Respond promptly to reactive content needs by coordinating assets, approvals, or publication as required.
  • Identify and communicate potential risks, delays, or missing information early to avoid workflow interruptions.

Required Qualifications

  • In-depth understanding of key social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and YouTube, along with the ability to assess content effectiveness on these platforms.
  • Proficiency in social media management and analytics tools such as Sprout Social, Brandwatch, Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sysomos, and native platform business/ad managers.
  • Awareness of current and emerging trends in social media and content marketing.
  • Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication abilities, adaptable to diverse brand voices and styles.
  • Solution-driven mindset with strategic thinking skills and a cooperative working style.
