Senior Site Director / Operations Director

The Senior Site Director role commands overall leadership for manufacturing operations, focusing on operational excellence, productivity, quality standards, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. This position leads diverse operational functions, championing strategic projects while managing large cross-functional teams and promoting a culture of ongoing improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage manufacturing sites located in Singapore and Wuxi, China, supervising over 450 direct and indirect staff members.
• Drive complete manufacturing and operational workflows to meet production volume, quality benchmarks, timely delivery, and cost objectives.
• Oversee daily plant activity including production scheduling, workforce coordination, material supply, and operational effectiveness.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma techniques, and industry best practices.
• Formulate and execute operational strategies aligned to long-term organizational goals and customer expectations.
• Coach and develop senior managers and operation teams, ensuring effective succession and enhancing workforce capabilities.
• Ensure full compliance with ISO, Responsible Business Alliance (RBA), Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) standards, and other relevant regulations.
• Manage internal and external auditing processes and resolve required corrective actions.
• Supervise operational budgeting, resource allocation, cost control, and capital expenditure planning.
• Collaborate with senior executives to define strategic direction, operational targets, and company priorities.
• Promote a workplace culture valuing accountability, collaboration, safety, and strong employee engagement.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Degree or Master’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or related fields.
• A minimum of 15 to 20 years’ leadership experience in manufacturing operations with extensive background managing large-scale production environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing systems, operational excellence, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement procedures.
• Experience in electronics, IT hardware, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS), or high-volume manufacturing industries is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated success in leading extensive, diverse teams and driving significant operational changes.
• Strong expertise in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, ISO certifications, RBA standards, and audit administration.
• Advanced skills in strategic planning, financial budgeting, project management, and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication and presentation capabilities in English; Mandarin language skills are beneficial for regional collaboration.
