Job description

Role overview

This senior, client-facing position is focused on leading cybersecurity change for enterprise and public sector customers. The role blends strategic selling, security knowledge, and business leadership to help organisations improve their security posture while aligning with risk, AI-led transformation, and regulatory obligations.

You will own the full sales journey, coordinate a virtual team made up of sales, technical, and partner contributors, and help drive broader adoption of the Microsoft Security platform with measurable business value.

What you will do

  • Create and grow trusted executive relationships with CISOs, CIOs, and other senior leaders to help them solve complex security issues and progress transformation programmes.
  • Lead high-value customer discussions across the Microsoft Security suite, positioning cybersecurity as a foundation for resilience, innovation, and business growth.
  • Build, manage, and close a strong opportunity pipeline that supports revenue growth, new client wins, and expansion in existing accounts.
  • Act as a strategic adviser by turning customer needs around security, compliance, and risk into practical business solutions and long-term plans.
  • Coordinate virtual teams across sales, technical, and partner functions to achieve customer success and speed up deal delivery.
  • Map Microsoft Security offerings to priorities such as cloud modernisation, data protection, regulatory compliance, security operations, and AI transformation.
  • Develop executive influence across customer organisations and support decision-making at senior levels.
  • Keep up with evolving cyber threats, market changes, and industry trends so you can bring informed guidance and leadership to customers.
  • Work closely with partners and internal teams to uncover opportunities, reduce blockers, and strengthen customer outcomes.
  • Support adoption and value creation after the sale so customers can realise measurable results from Microsoft investments.

Experience and qualifications

Candidates should bring substantial experience in solution sales or pre-sales, preferably in cloud environments with a strong cybersecurity, compliance, governance, and risk focus. The role also suits applicants with an academic background in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline, paired with significant relevant sales or pre-sales experience. An advanced degree such as an MBA or a master's in a related field is also acceptable when combined with the required experience.

Preferred background

  • Hands-on experience selling or supporting enterprise security solutions, including familiarity with major security platforms and technologies.
  • Exposure to competitive security vendors and alternative solutions.
  • Solid understanding of security operations, threat protection, identity, compliance, and cloud security concepts.
  • Proven ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with senior business and technical decision-makers.
