Role Overview
The Senior Sales Manager for the Corporate segment plays a pivotal role in driving revenue growth by managing corporate accounts, developing new business opportunities, and implementing effective sales strategies in collaboration with the Director of Sales.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet or exceed monthly sales targets set by the Director of Sales, Corporate.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with corporate clients and analyze account performance.
- Engage in at least 20 meaningful sales activities weekly, including client visits, site inspections, and client entertainment.
- Understand and apply processes related to rate management, corporate account approvals, and credit applications.
- Manage the assigned portfolio efficiently to maximize revenue and sales productivity.
- Proactively identify and develop new corporate business opportunities aligned with annual revenue goals.
- Collaborate closely with the Director of Sales to implement strategic initiatives aimed at expanding corporate business.
- Maintain and develop sales accounts within the assigned portfolio.
- Participate in sales calls to generate new business and enhance market share.
- Represent the company at relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and events.
- Provide accurate forecasts of travel patterns and market feedback to management.
- Submit timely monthly and quarterly sales performance reports to the Director of Sales.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by senior sales leadership.
- Support company initiatives related to environmental sustainability and inclusivity in the workplace.
Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma or degree in Business, Hospitality Management, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of sales experience with proven success in account management and business development.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and commercial skills.
- Strong persuasive abilities and influential leadership qualities.
- Highly motivated, resourceful, and goal-oriented personality.
- Strategic thinker capable of developing sales plans, setting targets, and delivering results on schedule.
- Comprehensive understanding of sales principles and techniques.
- Proactive in building and sustaining strong client and stakeholder relationships, including engagement with senior management.
- Knowledgeable of hotel systems and revenue management concepts.
- Attuned to market trends and consumer behaviors to inform business strategies.
- Adaptable with a positive attitude toward change and flexible work practices.
