This opening is for an experienced Sales Development Representative who can connect with medium and large enterprises across Australia and generate high-value opportunities for the leadership team. The role focuses on opening conversations that can lead to major software development and AI automation projects.
This is a senior-level SDR position rather than an entry-level one. It suits someone who can work through complex organisations, speak with senior decision-makers, and create credible business discussions that move into qualified pipeline.
Target Accounts
You will be responsible for engaging and qualifying opportunities with medium and large Australian businesses, enterprise organisations, fast-growing technology companies, healthcare groups, financial services firms, construction companies, logistics and industrial businesses, as well as government and not-for-profit organisations.
Key Responsibilities
You will work closely with the leadership team and play an important part in driving the company’s next stage of growth.
- Research priority accounts across Australia and identify the right prospects to approach.
- Create strategic prospect lists and account plans to support outreach.
- Reach out to senior stakeholders such as CEOs, CIOs, CTOs, COOs, Heads of Innovation, Digital Transformation leaders, and Product executives.
- Run multichannel outbound campaigns using phone, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant channels.
- Book qualified meetings for senior sales and leadership personnel.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within target accounts.
- Consistently build strong sales pipeline opportunities.
- Keep CRM data accurate and up to date, including activity tracking.
- Partner with leadership to improve targeting, messaging, and outreach methods.
- Track market movements and spot new opportunities in the market.
- Identify organisations investing in digital transformation, AI adoption, automation, and custom software.
- Share insights with marketing and leadership to strengthen campaign performance.
Experience and Background
The role calls for someone with at least 3 years of SDR, BDR, or enterprise lead generation experience. Candidates should already have experience selling to Australian businesses and producing opportunities in areas such as enterprise software, technology services, digital transformation projects, consulting, AI, or automation.
A strong grasp of enterprise sales cycles is essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ideal background also includes experience engaging C-level leaders and other senior decision-makers, plus exposure to software development, technology consulting, SaaS, cloud, AI, or digital agency environments.
Familiarity with modern sales engagement tools and CRM platforms is preferred, as is confidence in LinkedIn prospecting and social selling.
