About the Role
Join Pinterest's Platform Integrity team as a Senior Safety Specialist focusing on Spam Enforcement. This pivotal role contributes directly to Pinterest's growth by establishing scalable enforcement protocols for new account spam policies, ensuring the safety of our global user base through precise vendor oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update spam enforcement guidelines consistent with policy intent and operational learnings, identifying ambiguous cases and suggesting policy/product revisions.
- Manage outsourced vendor team performance across Spam workflows by monitoring SLAs, quality assurance, volume, and average handling times; initiate corrective recovery plans with Quality, Training, and Vendor Management.
- Design enforcement workflows and feedback mechanisms, establish success metrics, analyze trends, and drive improvements in guidelines, processes, and tools.
- Serve as the primary contact for spam enforcement, offering clear guidance and recommendations to cross-functional partners.
- Lead complex spam escalations from start to finish, coordinating investigations proactively to protect platform health and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with Product and Data teams on spam detection signals and machine learning models by contributing subject matter expertise and ensuring enforcement gaps inform requirements.
- Work alongside Sales to refine spam-related onboarding/offboarding processes balancing safety with business objectives.
- Identify opportunities for AI and agent automation in spam review workflows, championing adoption to improve efficiency while maintaining accuracy.
- Compose and update comprehensive enforcement documentation, including guidelines, runbooks, FAQs, and status communications to ensure consistent application and transparency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in a related domain.
- Over 5 years of experience in technology roles centered on enforcement and spam management with comprehensive ownership of complex operational processes.
- Proven leadership in operational or support programs involving goal-setting, KPI tracking, and implementing recovery strategies.
- Extensive background in managing outsourced or large-scale support operations, including quality calibration and vendor accountability.
- Strong customer orientation with a commitment to resolving root issues and enhancing platform safety and trust.
- Excellent critical thinking and decision-making abilities under ambiguous conditions, employing data and policy understanding.
- Capability to manage several projects and stakeholders dynamically within fast-evolving environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, adept at presenting insights, influencing partners, and achieving alignment.
- Experience collaborating with Data/Product teams to leverage AI or automation tools to optimize enforcement workflows.
Additional Information
- No relocation assistance provided; flexible work arrangement details available internally.
- Required in-office presence is minimal, with in-person collaboration demanded once or twice every six months, location flexible across the US.
Compensation and Inclusion
The salary range for this role is approximately $81,921 to $168,660 USD annually, eligible for equity grants, and depends on experience, location, and skills.
