Job Overview
This role is responsible for enforcing the QatarEnergy Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) management system by offering expert HSE guidance and support specifically for the Marine and Logistics departments. The position demands identifying and mitigating all critical hazards related to operational, logistics, and project activities to help QatarEnergy meet its strategic HSE goals.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Prepare detailed technical reports effectively.
- Exhibit leadership qualities with the ability to command and control operations confidently.
- Maintain excellent organizational prowess and keen attention to detail in all tasks.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in utilizing computer software relevant to HSE management.
Experience Requirements
The candidate must have a minimum of 13 years’ experience in the HSE sector, with at least 5 years focused on marine operations and 8 years of practical, hands-on work within the offshore oil and gas or petrochemical industries.
Educational Qualifications
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering or a science-related discipline.
- Hold recognized certifications in HSE training from international bodies such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO, or their equivalents.
