It is especially focused on building relationships with new-to-bank clients, expanding lending and deposit portfolios, and strengthening fee income.

- Support the Business Head in managing, guiding, and coaching relationship managers so the team operates effectively.
- Help lead the Large Corporates portfolio toward its goals for outstanding loans, gross interest income, fee-based income, and non-performing loan ratio.
- Develop business across a wide range of sectors, including large corporates, blue-chip firms, government-linked companies, SGX and regional exchange-listed businesses, and conglomerates with multiple industry and geographic interests.
- Promote sustainable finance for large corporates that are transitioning energy usage or seeking green and sustainability-linked funding.
- Work with major corporate banks on syndicated loans and club loan structures, and coordinate with overseas branches and Head Office to support cross-border referrals and regional capital flows.
- Build trusted client relationships by creating tailored financial solutions that strengthen retention and increase wallet share.
- Prepare and submit detailed credit proposals for new-to-bank opportunities.
- Assess credit proposals prepared by relationship managers and confirm that structures and facility sizes are appropriate.
- Track annual credit reviews and facility renewals to ensure they are completed on time.
- Monitor weakening credits and non-performing loan accounts closely, including impairment provisioning and recovery actions.
- Grow ancillary income by cross-selling Trade Finance, Treasury, and Cash Management products.
- Ensure adherence to MAS and HKMA requirements, internal BEA Group policies, anti-money laundering and anti-terrorism financing rules, and escalation of suspicious transactions to senior management.
Requirements
- A university degree in Accountancy, Business, Economics, or a closely related field.
- At least 12 years of relevant banking experience, with a minimum of 10 years in a comparable role.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing relationship managers and corporate banking teams.
