Role Overview

This position is for a Relationship Manager / Senior Relationship Manager in the Mid-Market & Supply Chain function. The role focuses on building and growing business in SME working capital and supply chain financing, while maintaining portfolio quality, profitability, and strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

The role involves developing sales momentum, improving market share, acquiring and managing clients, supporting timely disbursals, gathering market insights, maintaining portfolio health, and ensuring process discipline across pre- and post-sourcing activities.

  • Build a healthy sales funnel to achieve targets for book size and market share.
  • Track local market movements and competitor offerings to identify expansion opportunities.
  • Reduce customer drop-offs by maintaining consistent engagement with clients.
  • Develop new business through regular interaction with investment bankers, chartered accountants, and brokers.
  • Escalate delinquent accounts and potential NPAs, while closely following up on collection dues.
  • Monitor important accounts for business health and early warning signs of stress.
  • Identify prospects and convert leads into new customers.
  • Strengthen area business volume through cross-sell efforts and new product ideas.
  • Deepen customer relationships by working with credit analysts to improve turnaround times.
  • Use technology to improve service efficiency, responsiveness, and customer retention.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to process loan applications and support timely disbursement.
  • Respond to internal queries and ensure documentation is complete for customer transactions.
  • Collect regular market intelligence on competitor strategies, policies, and operating processes.
  • Share market learnings with the Area Sales Manager to refine business decisions.
  • Review overdue accounts daily and drive timely collections.
  • Act early on initial overdue cases to improve recovery outcomes.
  • Support profitability through suitable pricing and processing fee decisions.
  • Implement cost control measures accurately and on time.
  • Follow all process requirements before and after sourcing business.
  • Provide MIS inputs to the Area Sales Manager to strengthen reporting and operational performance.

Eligibility and Experience

The preferred qualification is a Master’s degree in Finance, along with 5 to 7 years of relevant experience.
