About the Role

An innovative entity in the energy sector is dedicated to transforming the power system for future generations. This state-owned commercial company seeks a Senior Regulatory Revenue Specialist to become part of their Group Regulation team, which shapes regulatory strategies aligned with corporate goals amidst the evolving Irish and European energy landscapes, including offshore development and interconnection projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main liaison for business units and senior leaders, delivering concise and timely guidance focused on regulatory revenue matters.
  • Support all regulatory submissions and communications.
  • Lead complex regulatory revenue projects and serve as the contact point for Regulatory Authorities.
  • Assist the Economic Regulation Manager in organizing and preparing price control submissions.
  • Gain expertise in business priorities and their regulatory implications, providing timely, high-quality advice.
  • Manage cross-disciplinary teams to execute regulatory programs effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with revenue frameworks and regulatory standards, meeting deadlines.
  • Foster strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to facilitate regulatory objectives.
  • Engage and oversee external consultants as needed to meet compliance requirements.

Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a relevant degree or equivalent education with a minimum of five years' experience in strategic regulatory roles.
  • Quickly assimilates and retains comprehensive knowledge of industry practices, regulatory rulings, and domestic and European legislation.
  • Skilled at building robust networks with key stakeholders to aid regulatory delivery.
  • Demonstrates strong communication, diplomacy, interpersonal, and organizational capabilities to influence and challenge effectively.
  • Competent in drafting and reviewing clear, evidence-based documentation.
  • Creative thinker who uses initiative proactively.
  • Experienced in preparing policy papers independently and collaboratively for publication.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills enabling reasoned decision-making based on data.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and conducting detailed revenue computations.
  • Industry experience within the energy sector is essential.
