About the Role
Handshake is hiring a Recruiting Operations specialist to strengthen a growing team. This person will help shape the next stage of the recruiting function as the company expands automation, improves its recruiting tech stack, and matures operationally. The ideal candidate is comfortable working where recruiting operations meets candidate experience and can navigate systems confidently.
This opportunity is centered on building scalable workflows, improving data quality, delivering a smooth candidate journey, and supporting high-impact projects that influence how Handshake hires. It is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys efficiency, technology, and taking ownership of important operational work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide an excellent scheduling experience for executive-level candidates, with a focus on speed and efficiency.
- Support recruiting tools through configuration, user training, and creation of documentation.
- Spot opportunities to improve scheduling processes, recruiter workflows, and broader recruiting operations, then help implement those improvements.
- Maintain clean and reliable recruiting data by running audits, reviewing trends, and building dashboards that support decisions.
- Create and manage reports and dashboards for core recruiting metrics.
- Assist team members with technical problems and troubleshooting across recruitment systems.
- Work with cross-functional partners to strengthen integrations, system performance, and operational efficiency.
- Communicate clearly, professionally, tactfully, and with empathy to candidates, hiring managers, interviewers, recruiters, and other stakeholders.
Desired Capabilities
- At least 3 years of experience in recruitment coordination, recruiting operations, or HR operations within a fast-moving environment.
- Hands-on experience with an ATS such as Greenhouse, Ashby, or Workday, along with other HR technology tools.
- Comfort using Google Workspace tools including Calendar, Docs, Sheets, and Slides.
- Strong ability to diagnose issues and improve systems and processes.
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
- Strong precision and a commitment to accurate data handling.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- High standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

Compensation
The compensation range for this role is $92K to $115K.
