Handshake is seeking seasoned professionals in sustainability and ESG to contribute to AI research through flexible, part-time contract work. This role is designed for practitioners with practical experience in carbon accounting, greenhouse gas reporting, and environmental compliance who can assess AI-generated content and offer feedback grounded in real-world ESG operations.
This is a project-based opportunity that can be completed alongside your existing professional commitments.
What You'll Do
- Develop expert-level training questions and scenario prompts that reflect real sustainability and ESG workflows.
- Assess AI-generated outputs for correctness and how well they align with carbon accounting and compliance practices used in the field.
- Write clear, structured feedback that supports improvements in model quality.
- Work independently on your own schedule, with no fixed timetable or minimum hourly commitment.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years of professional experience in sustainability, ESG, or environmental compliance, in positions such as Sustainability Manager, ESG Analyst, Carbon Accounting Manager, GHG Inventory Lead, or Environmental Compliance Manager.
- Practical experience using one or more of the following tools: Persefoni, GaBi, EPA eGGRT, or VelocityEHS.
- Strong written communication ability, close attention to detail, and comfort working independently in a remote, asynchronous setting.
Additional Information
